Careers for women in science, math and technology are as varied as the women in those careers. Micron offers young women a sneak peek into the high-tech world that isn’t just for men.
Micron’s programs for women include our Girls Going Tech events and Women in Technical Careers (WITC) Speakers panels.
Girls Going Tech Event
Girls Going Tech for the 2021-22 school year will be a monthly virtual engagement, starting in October. The sessions will focus on Artificial Intelligence and how the technology enables solutions to some of the major challenges facing society and the earth.
Throughout the school year, students can join just one session or multiple sessions. Target attendees are 8th & 9th grade students that identify as female.

Sessions are held 1:00 – 2:30 pm Mountain Time

Women in Technical Careers Speaker Panel
Women in Technical Careers (WITC) panels are casual, interactive and informative career discussions for students in grades 9 – 12 and female STEM professionals. Female Scientists & Technical Professionals at Micron are the panelists. Female students will get the opportunity to ask questions after they hear a brief introduction from each of the female STEM professionals. The specific Science careers include chemists & physicists. Technical professions include various engineering disciplines, as well as technical writers, IT specialists, technical marketing technicians and math specialists.
