Micron closed the sale of its Lehi, Utah fab to Texas Instruments on Oct. 22, 2021.
Micron announced its intent to sell the Lehi facility in March 2021, at the same time we confirmed plans to end production of 3D XPoint technology and pursue new memory solutions for data centers, enabled by the CXL interconnect. In June 2021, we announced that we had entered into a definitive agreement to sell the Lehi fab to TI.
Micron’s Lehi facility has been home to a highly skilled team with expertise in all aspects of leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing, and we are pleased that our Lehi colleagues are now part of the TI community. Micron is thankful for the hard work and contributions of our Lehi team members for more than two decades and we look forward to their accomplishments at TI.
